Stereo G Electronic Music Festival starting today in Gibara

Stereo G Electronic Music Festival, the most important of its kind in the country, opens today in Gibara, a coastal municipality of Holguin province in eastern Cuba, with the participation of national and international guests to defend the music production made in Cuba.

Stereo G in its 12th edition is being held at Caletones beach, in Holguin province, and will continue on until August 19. Among its presentations will be a tribute to Ernesto Hidalgo, better known as TikoSk8, one of the organizers of Stereo G and founder of the Electrozona project.

Danner Parra, vice president of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguín, DJ producer and member of the organizing committee, announced at a press conference that on this occasion will perform DJs from Havana as X Alox, Dio Mark, Okanan and international, for example Agnostic, from Mexico, exponents of the artistic maturity achieved by the meeting.

He also explained that Raxxo, K Sebastian, Acid Seduction, The Kun, Electrozona represent the local participants in the event, while Axxenar and Sally will defend the female presence in the festival along with Lheo and Louis Z, new artists, who will debut on this stage for the first time.

For 12 years the event has been held in the province of Holguin as a space for the enjoyment of the lovers of the genre and this year’s edition promises to recover the spirit towards electronic music of the public through audiovisual and sound experience.

The Stereo G Electronic Music Festival has relevant Cuban Dj producers and foreign artists every year who bet on the experience of creation and turn Caletones beach into the ideal place to do so.

Founded in 2012 as a one-day event and taken over by the Hermanos Saíz Association the following year, the event annually summons Cuba’s best electronic music producers to this beach resort to showcase their creations to fans and lovers of strong sounds far from the commercial genre and more attached to the neo underground.
