Holguin authorities tour agricultural and livestock fairs on Sunday

Holguin authorities toured the weekend agricultural fairs and gastronomic offers organized in the province of Holguin, sight the near celebration of the   70th anniversary of the assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks.

To check the commercialization in the areas opened in the municipality of Holguin, a tour was led by Ernesto Santiesteban Velazquez and Osmani Viñals Garcia, first secretaries of the provincial and municipal committees of the Communist Party of Cuba in Holguin, respectively, and Manuel Hernandez Aguilera, governor of the province.

To check the commercialization of products in the areas set up in the municipality of Holguin, a tour was led by Ernesto Santiesteban Velazquez and Osmani Viñals Garcia, first secretaries of the provincial and municipal committees of the Communist Party of Cuba in Holguin, respectively, and Manuel Hernandez Aguilera, governor of the province.

The markets Los Chinos, Las Carpas and the sales area of the Pedro Díaz Coello neighborhood were visited by Holguin authorities, places where they saw how much have changed the supply of agriculture produce, the prices of the products on offer, the organization of the sales; but also interacted with private and state vendors, who were urged to provide a good service to the population.

For these spaces in the provincial capital city, the Network of Collection Sales, the Holguin Integral Agricultural Company, Selected Fruits, Urban Agriculture and other entities, put on offer a total of 657.0 tons (t) of products, including 279.0 t of Cuban viandas, 159.4 t of vegetables, 15.9 t of grains, 105.0 t of fruits, 21.5 t of meat products and 25 t of other products.

In all the dialogues held by the highest authorities of the province, producers and villagers shared their positive and negative experiences, as a sign of confidence in their leaders, who were very receptive to the state of opinion of the people, who are satisfied with the variety of products, but not with the values of the offers.

The systematic checking of the agricultural and livestock fairs is a priority in the province, as it guarantees the adequate feeding of the population, which is currently a task of the first order.
