Cuban President evaluates economic context in Holguín

President Miguel Díaz-Canel, continues this Thursday in the province of Holguín with the meetings planned by the country, to evaluate the fulfillment of the strategies planned in response to the current situation in Cuba.

In this territory of the eastern zone, the also first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), performs a check-up on the commitments agreed earlier this year, with the aim of achieving a more favorable economic context for 2023.

Holguín is the 13th province to be visited by the Cuban president, one of the most populated in the largest of the Antilles and considered a fundamental economic pole, as it has strategic sectors, including the nickel industry and tourism.

On these meetings, Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, in an assessment to the press stressed that the analysis has gone beyond checking what was planned, as they have insisted on what remains to be done and “how to respond to the needs and expectations to make this 2023 a better year”.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel was accompanied by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa and the Secretary of Organization of the PCC, Roberto Morales.
