The University of Holguin welcomed Kazeri Hamutenya, Second Secretary of the Namibian Embassy in Cuba. To strengthen academic and cultural ties with the African nation.
The official was received by the International Relations Office of the university. In a meeting that also included Namibian students studying Mechanical and Civil Engineering in that eastern province.
Moreover the students expressed their enthusiasm for studying in the archipelago. And their commitment to contributing to the development of their country with the knowledge they acquire, according to university sources.
Hamutenya learned about the teaching and research activities of the Holguin institution. As well as the experiences of international students integrating into university life.
The dialogue is part of the efforts by Cuba and Namibia to expand educational cooperation. In line with the historical ties of solidarity between the two peoples.
Also the visit provided an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties. Promoting future academic exchanges between the University of Holguin and higher education institutions in South Africa.
