The blue pack secured their second consecutive victory against their rivals and their fifth of the tournament. Giving them a 1-0 advantage in the head-to-head series and leaving them two games behind in the standings.
Meanwhile, the Matanzas Crocodiles snapped an eight-game losing streak.w Wth a 7-3 victory over the Holguin Cubs in ten innings at Estadio Calixto García.
A four-run rally in the extra inning, two of them driven in by a triple from the league’s leading hitter. Hanyelo Videt, gave the Matanzas team the decisive lead.
At the 26 de Julio Stadium in Artemisa, the home team, the Cazadores, routed the Huracanes de Mayabeque 13-3. Drawing level with them in the standings.
