The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, stated today that his country is not afraid of the threats from US President Donald Trump. Called the warnings issued by Washington against Tehran “empty.”
In a message posted on his Twitter account, Larijani responded to recent statements by Trump. Also who threatened attacks that could make “the reconstruction of Iran as a state virtually impossible.”
“The Iranian people, on the day of Ashura, are not afraid of your empty threats. Those greater than you have not managed to annihilate us… Beware, lest you be the ones who perish,” the high-ranking official declared.
Also the statements come amid the military escalation that began on February 28th. When Israel and the United States launched attacks against Iranian territory that left hundreds dead. Including high-ranking officials and security figures.
In response, Tehran launched missile and drone attacks against Israel and US interests in several countries in the region. Including some Persian Gulf states, Jordan, and Iraq.
These actions caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure and were condemned by the governments of the affected countries, which demanded a halt to the attacks.
