The date for the next big event in Cuban short story writing has been set. Ediciones La Luz and the Literature Section of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) in Holguin. Officially announced the call for submissions for the 27th Celestino Short Story Prize. A competition that has become an essential platform for fostering new voices in Cuban narrative.
The announcement was made at the Ediciones La Luz headquarters. During an event that combined literary rigor with the celebration of two important anniversaries. The event was sponsored by the Provincial Center for Books and Literature and the Provincial Directorate of Culture. The event was presided over by poet Luis Yuseff, director of the publishing house. Who offered welcoming remarks and emphasized the importance of the prize in promoting young Cuban literature.
