With the aim of discussing the organization’s work in the province. The Provincial Council of the Federation of Secondary School Students (FEEM) met at the ExpoHolguin Fairgrounds, bringing together 57 delegates.
The event was attended by Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee and First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC). Elisbel Durán Borroto, provincial secretary of the Young Communist League (UJC). Luis Ángel Osorio Blanco, provincial president of FEEM in Holguin. During the working sessions, the delegates demonstrated the character of a more resolute, resilient, and revolutionary generation. By addressing in depth the main challenges of the school year. As well as the need to promote youth participation in decision-making.

Furthermore, key topics such as vocational training and career guidance. The creation of enriching and healthy recreational spaces. Also communication skills, mastery of Cuban history, and voluntary female military service were analyzed. The diversity of opinions and proposals demonstrated the young people’s interest in participating in this process.
In this setting, the importance of implementing transformative projects at the student level was emphasized. Highlighting the need to constantly improve the comprehensive education of all students and the importance of assuming a leading role as drivers of social change. Actively and consciously participating in the various initiatives that contribute to the development of the region.

For his part, the top leader of the student organization in Holguin, Luis Ángel Osorio Blanco, made clear the organization’s commitment to continue being the voice of its members’ aspirations. He also underscored the commitment to achieving academic excellence, strengthening revolutionary principles, and always being ready to fulfill assigned tasks.

Likewise, during the plenary session, recognition was given to outstanding members and municipalities for their work within the organization. Among those honored was the municipality of Moa. Specifically the Cacocum campus, for hosting the main activities for the FEEM anniversary. The career of Luis Ángel Osorio Blanco was also recognized. After completing his term as provincial president of the FEEM, he will assume other responsibilities within the student movement.
As part of this process, the organization’s new secretariat was elected. In this leadership renewal, Indira Pérez Almaguer was elected as the new provincial president. She expressed her commitment to continuing the work already underway and faithfully representing the concerns and aspirations of all secondary school students in Holguin. Moreover she emphasized the importance of unity and strengthening the federation’s role in each educational institution.

The Provincial Council reinforced the role of the FEEM (Federation of Secondary School Students) as the backbone of a youth determined to remain steadfast. Confident that through study, political preparation, and organized work they can face the challenges ahead.
