More than 50,000 Havana residents, representing all of Cuba. Demonstrated at the foot of the statue of Simón Bolívar on Avenida de los Presidentes, in the central Vedado neighborhood. Their unwavering support for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which is under constant threat of imperialist aggression.
The event was led by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. Along with Venezuelan Deputy Pedro Infante Aparicio, First Vice President of the National Assembly. And was attended by officials from the Cuban Communist Party, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and delegates from the Third International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-Wing Parties and Movements.

During the ceremony, Díaz-Canel presented Infante with a painting and the books containing the 4,338,000 signatures collected in support of the Bolivarian Revolution, headed by Army General Raúl Castro Ruz. In a message posted on social media hours earlier, the Cuban head of state denounced that “the empire and its misguided leader approve covert CIA operations against Venezuela.” And reaffirmed his support for Nicolás Maduro.
Infante Aparicio saluted the noble, heroic, and supportive people of Cuba. Who once again embrace the Bolivarian cause against the xenophobic accusations and campaigns of lies promoted by the current US administration to legitimize its interventionist attempt.
He also thanked Díaz-Canel for his firm and decisive stance in defending before the world the urgency of preventing US military intervention in the homeland of Bolívar and Hugo Chávez.
Moreover he denounced the extrajudicial executions perpetrated by US forces in Caribbean Waters. To reinforce their bellicose rhetoric, subverting internal order and expropriating the nation’s natural resources.
Cuba and Venezuela share the same moral compass, dignity, struggle, and victory over US imperialism, he added.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the PCC Central Committee. Highlighted at the event the realization of the will of a people who do not give up in the struggle to defend both lands as one homeland.
Finally he insisted that Cuba and Venezuela are one soul, and a soul cannot be divided, sold, or surrendered. Because what is at stake there today is the struggle for Latin American dignity.
