President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez rejected this Tuesday the decision imposed by the Trump administration on the Dominican Republic to exclude Cuba. Along with Venezuela and Nicaragua, from the 10th Summit of the Americas. Reiterated Havana’s willingness to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue.
“We reject the decision imposed by the US government on the Dominican Republic to exclude three countries. Including Cuba, from the 10th Summit of the Americas. We reiterate our willingness to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue. Under conditions of sovereign equality and without exclusions,” Díaz-Canel wrote on the social network X.
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) issued a statement this Tuesday expressing its deep concern and rejection of this decisión. Imposed by the White House on the Dominican Republic.
The 10th Summit of the Americas will be held on December 4th and 5th in Punta Cana.
