Holguin Concludes Its Popular Festivals

With a broad showcase of Holguin‘s popular culture and the aim of bringing the best of local talent to the people. The popular festivals are being celebrated in the City of Parks until this Sunday, August 17th.

Náyade Smarth, Deputy Director of Culture for the province, informed the press that the celebration is taking place in the northeastern region as part of the “Summer Always Young” campaign. With the aim of ensuring the healthy enjoyment of the summer season for Holguin communities and families.

With this concept, the festivities began with an artistic gala in Camilo Cienfuegos Square under the direction of Víctor Osorio, with the idea, script, and assistance of Miguel Corella and general production by Mayda Escalona. In addition to a performance by the popular artist JG, widely accepted by the local public.

Among the talent accompanying this event are prominent soloists Delvis Lozano, Mariem Hernández, Ernesto Infante, Gilberto Torres “Candela,” Luis Alberto Góngora. And groups such as Golden Voices and the companies Tiempo, Cuba Soy, Recrearte, and Fantasías de Santiago de Cuba.

Under the “Summer Always Young” campaign, attractive and varied activities are being organized throughout the country for the healthy and beneficial enjoyment of the Cuban population, particularly the younger generations.
