The University of Holguin (Uho in the Spanish acronym), a key institution for the integral development of the province, undergoes its first institutional evaluation process as an integrated center, which will take place from March 17 to 21, conducted by the National Accreditation Board.
Moreover Dr. Marcia Esther Noda Hernández, executive secretary of this advisory body of the Ministry of Higher Education, explained that among the indicators to be taken into account, it stands out that 60 percent of its study programs at the different levels of training have been evaluated and accredited.
In this regard, it was known that the Holguin university has 24 accredited careers, of which 13 achieved excellence, and with 27 accredited postgraduate programs, 21 of them with the category of excellence.
Also these days, at the University of Holguin, exams. Exchanges with graduates and students, tours, among other actions aimed at showing a broader vision of the processes, will be developed.
Likewise, variables will be analyzed, such as Vocational Training, Human Resources, Infrastructure, Social Impact and Training, research and postgraduate studies. While at the same time the work of the disciplines linked to Marxism and history will be deepened.
For her part, Dr. Aniuska Ortiz Pérez, rector of the Uho, highlighted the commitment of the university community to this process, which involves the nine faculties, the ten municipal university centers and the two municipal university affiliates.
In conclusion with 56 years of foundation and ten in its integrated format, the UHo, which currently has the category of certified, has contributed to the training of more than 85 thousand graduates and, with a staff of one thousand 245 teachers, maintains its actions aligned with the strategic objectives for territorial development.
