Moa for greater local development from Territorial Contribution

In Moa, thanks to the financial contribution of the Territorial Contribution, which comes from one percent of the profits of the entities, and with the approval of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, the solution of problems affecting the population in this municipality of Holguín is being undertaken, according to the newspaper Granma.

Data provided by municipal authorities indicate that during 2022 more than 17 main arteries were benefited in the municipal capital, in which 12 thousand tons of asphalt were poured, material with which in the following years were given better conditions to other 15 streets in the neighborhoods.

Another part of the money has been used to improve the water supply through the aqueduct networks, as confirmed by the installation of two new pumps in the wells of La Veguita neighborhood and the construction of a new pipeline that changes the lives of the residents of the Costa Azul neighborhood, better known as Viviendas Checas, one kilometer from the city center, in the Miraflores-Atlántico popular council, to which water was brought in tanker trucks every week.

The contribution of the profits of the business system also favors the Armando Mestre industrial park, of the Numa food production company, of great importance, because they make bread for the basic food basket for 15,000 inhabitants and other flour products, which are distributed in the warehouses in a standardized way.

Moa in recent years has achieved a stable socioeconomic growth with the modernization of infrastructure and services, and the improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants.
