The workers belonging to the Cristino Naranjo Agroindustrial Sugar Enterprise in the municipality of Cacocum, in the province of Holguin, are currently applying Technical Norm 52, a vital work system that stipulates, once the harvest is over, cleaning, conservation and diagnosis of the industrial machinery.
The purpose of complying with this standard is to ensure that the next 2024-2025 sugar harvest will be carried out in better technical conditions with higher yields within the established time frame.

In this respect, Vladimir Rojas Rodríguez, administrator of the plant, explained that the management of the industry and the workers’ collective are immersed in this process, which is particularly important due to the lack of parts, pieces, components and other basic resources for the good operation of the sugar mill.
Likewise, Rojas Rodriguez added that once the implementation of this norm is completed, repairs and maintenance will begin for the upcoming sugar production.
Despite the lack of materials, the workers are making every effort to ensure that the process, which must be completed by July 4, progresses satisfactorily in all the industry’s facilities.

The work of the technical group is currently focused on dismantling, cleaning, diagnostics and conservation of equipment, parts and aggregates to ensure that the mill will be in better technical condition for the next campaign, despite the difficult economic context the country is going through.
