New Power Line Benefits Water Pumping in Mayari

A new power line, now in service, is benefiting water pumping for the residents of Levisa and Nicaro. Located in the Mayari municipality of Holguin province and will help overcome irregularities in the water supply.

The initiative promotes the stability of the pumping system through the electrification of the area. Its operation benefits more than 30,000 residents in both localities. According to an announcement on social media by the provincial Electric Utility.

Carried out by the Mayari Electric Unit, the project includes over 2,000 meters of cable and 11 utility poles extending to the site. With the goal of ensuring the delivery of this vital resource and improving living conditions in both areas.

Journalist Emilio Rodríguez Pupo, from the Radio Mayari station, highlighted the participation of local residents in the assembly. Also with the installation of the new infrastructure. A development that has been met with great satisfaction.

Rodríguez Pupo also acknowledged the hard work of the electricians, despite current resource constraints. As well as the efforts made by local authorities throughout the investment process required to complete the project.

In Levisa, the system relies on a single pump with a capacity of 25 liters per second. A constant power supply will now allow for planned rotation and a reduction in the intervals between water supply cycles.
