Workshop on Foreign Trade, Finance, and Innovation Organized in Holguin

The Holguin Science, Technology, and Industrial Park, in collaboration with the Holguin-Las Tunas Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba. It invites the business community and interested citizens to participate in the “Datacamp Global Lab I: Foreign Trade, Finance, and Innovation” workshop.

The event will take place on October 2nd, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Bar Regente in the city of Holguin. Its purpose is to equip various types of business entities. With the essential theoretical and practical tools needed to successfully enter the international market.

Against the backdrop of a transforming production structure and the strengthening of economic sovereignty. Also the meeting will examine import and export processes in detail. Specifically regarding the new legal framework established by Resolution 126 of 2026.

Participants will gain insight into the operation of digital platforms for trade, the use of tariff nomenclatures, and insurance contracting. All crucial aspects for ensuring dynamic and legally secure flows of goods and services from the eastern region.

The session will also prioritize the study of international finance and foreign currency payment instruments. This is a highly complex technical area involving the use of letters of credit. With the securing of financing, and the strategic management of exchange rate risk.

Furthermore these tools are essential for establishing robust production linkages among state-owned entities, new private economic actors, and foreign partners. Likewise, the application of competitive, commercial, and artificial intelligence to the business sector will be among the key topics for increasing the value-added of local exportable goods.

Attendees will discuss the operational and fiscal advantages of joining science parks, economic associations, and special development zones. Environments that foster technology transfer and applied innovation.
