The shipment, consisting of 700 food kits and 700 hygiene kits. It will be distributed by Caritas Havana in the municipalities of Alquizar. In the province of Artemisa, and Bejucal, in Mayabeque, through local parishes.
Also the aid component stands in stark contrast to the reality of the collective punishment imposed by the United States government against the Cuban people. Reinforced by a brutal energy blockade imposed since the beginning of this year.
According to the MINCEX statement sent to CNA, Cuba does not oppose the aid. Provided it benefits the people and their needs are not exploited for political gain.
It accepts it as a gesture from the American people who, through their contributions, support the public funds used by their government.
