With the aim of strengthening the professional skills of bartenders. A Bar Master Class is being held at the Polinesio Restaurant in Holguin. Organized by the Bartenders Association and Havana Club.
The training is being led by Ariel Álvarez Hernández, adjunct professor at the Formatur School. Also a bartender at the Grand Muthu Almirante Hotel. And vice president of the Holguin Bartenders Association in the Guardalavaca area.
Furthermore the training brings together bartenders, managers from various Basic Business Units (UEB) of the Provincial Lodging and Gastronomy Company (EPAG). As well as members of the Bartenders Association, who are addressing key topics for the competitive performance of the sector. Among the topics covered are the rules and regulations for competitions. Methods for calculating the alcohol content (ABV) in a winning cocktail.
The meeting at the Polinesio Restaurant is being attended by Rafael Cuenca Ramírez, president of the Holguin Bartenders Association. Ernesto Aguilera Mirabal, a member of its board. And Orlando Santos Díaz, general director of EPAG Holguin.
Also the Master Class is part of a three-session training cycle. Which will award a certificate endorsed by Formatur and will conclude with a written exam and a workshop on competitive techniques.
