The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Roberto Morales, described the U.S. government’s executive orders as genocide against the archipelago this Thursday. “With his executive orders, Donald Trump imposed a financial and energy blockade. That prevents Cuba from accessing oil, food, and medicine,” he stated on X social media.

He also noted that the UN has warned that the suffocation. Which causes prolonged blackouts, lack of drinking water, shortages of medical supplies, and a serious humanitarian crisis. It translates directly into an increase in treatable diseases and preventable deaths.

Morales based his characterization on the definition of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide. Also which defines this atrocious act as the intentional subjection of a group. To conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.

“By imposing collective punishment that deliberately exacerbates the suffering of the Cuban people. In order to provoke a social explosion and overthrow their government. These orders constitute an act of silent genocide that flagrantly violates international law and the most basic human rights,” he asserted.
