The chemical laboratory of the Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara Company, located in the mining municipality of Moa. Successfully completed its most recent audit by the National Accreditation Body of the Republic of Cuba (ONARC).

To perform tests on its five final products: sintered nickel oxide, nickel cobalt sulfide, chemical nickel oxide powder, nickel oxide powder, and nickel sulfide.

At the closing ceremony, ONARC’s lead auditor, Engineer Carlos Silveira Mariño, and expert Engineer Osvaldo Guilarte Turro highlighted the factory’s successful renewal of this accreditation. Demonstrating the maturity and rigor of the entity’s quality management system.
The Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara Nickel Company, inaugurated in 1984 and a source of pride for Cuban industry. It processes lateritic ore using the carbonate-ammonia process (Caron) to produce nickel and cobalt. As the only plant of its kind built by the Revolution in the eastern region.
