Radio Angulo was the venue for the official launch of the call for entries. For the 36th edition of the “Antonio Lloga in memoriam” National Youth Radio Workshop and Competition. Which is held annually in Santiago de Cuba and organized by the local branch of the Hermanos Saíz Association.
From the theater studio, Rey Luis Correa, coordinator of the event. Provided details of what will take place from September 24th to 27th of this year. The event is dedicated to the figure of the radio sports commentator. The 90th anniversary of Holguin’s provincial radio station CMKO Radio Angulo. And the 40th anniversary of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS). It will once again recognize the best radio productions created by young people in Cuba.
As in previous years, this year’s event is open to producers from across the Cuban Radio System and university radio stations throughout the country. Up to 35 years of age, whether or not they are members of the AHS.
Regardless of the overall theme, the competition will feature a variety of radio formats—news, drama, and music—with one entry per category.
Entries must be accompanied by a script, and each recording must include the event registration form. With the details of the participating filmmakers and the person registering it.
Winners will receive a certificate and awards in the following categories: directing, scriptwriting, recording and editing, sound design or music composition, voice-over, and acting.

The jury, chaired by renowned sports commentator Luis Izquierdo Valdés, will award the “Antonio Lloga” Grand Prize to the best entry. Which includes a cash prize of 10,000 CUP and a certificate.
Reflecting current trends among commentators and producers. This year’s Special Prize will be awarded to the best sports podcast. With a cash prize of 5,000 CUP and a certificate.
Similarly, participants may be eligible for the Collateral Awards presented by various institutions in Santiago de Cuba. Depending on how well the work aligns with their social mission.
Entries will be accepted until June 19th, 2026, at the Santiago branch of the AHS (Hermanos Saíz Association) and via email at ahsantiagojovenfestival@gmail.com.
