The city of Holguin will host from today until April 12, the 15th edition of Expociencia, the main event for socialization of technological innovation in the eastern region, with an exhibition character.
On this occasion, the event is dedicated to governance from the local level, taking into account the potentialities of each territory and the customs and traditions for prospective development.
Alejandro Torres Gómez de Cádiz Hernández, president of the organizing committee, explained to ACN that the event will have a theoretical space with topics about the system of programs and projects, the social and humanistic sciences, the contributions of the University of Medical Sciences and the organizations of the sector.
He emphasized that the meeting will show advances in the business and private spheres, as regards the use of technologies and other elements of interest, with the participation of education and research centers and new economic actors.
The president, who is also the territorial delegate of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, pointed out that topics focused on food production, agro-ecology, the use of renewable energy sources and the digitalization of government systems will be addressed.
The exhibition, which will be held at its usual venue at the Expo-Holguín Fairgrounds, will have a collateral program that includes presentations of circles of interest, participation contests, master conferences, sale of products to the population and exhibitions of goods and services.
Expociencia 2024 will also facilitate the linkage between companies, the promotion of good practices for the management of hazardous waste, surpluses of basic production, the development of value-added inputs and environmental protection.
