In Holguín, women are present in all sectors of society; thus, this March 8th will be a special occasion to recognize their prominence in all spheres of life.
The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) and different institutions, organizations and entities of the province will highlight their fundamental role in the successful fulfillment of missions and tasks assigned by the Government, their valuable contribution to socioeconomic development and their effort and dedication in the care and management of the family.
Holguín community appreciates the always willingness of women to responsibly assume multiple roles and give their contribution in food production, industry or the provision of goods and services.
Their timely collaboration in epidemiological investigations and surveys and his solidarity and humanism in caring for the elderly and other vulnerable age groups stand out, as well as his valuable support for social centers that welcome children without filial protection.
Likewise, their invaluable role in managing home with decisive and innovative capacity in the face of the difficult economic situation that the country currently faces.
FMC in the province considers the empowerment of women and their professional growth in equal rights and opportunities that allows them to access any job based on their skills, knowledge and aptitudes.
At the same time, it emphasizes the strength of having an organization that represents and protects them, and offers them different opportunities for their full social fulfillment.
The Federation of Cuban Women will be holding its XI Congress from March 7 to 8 to evaluate the results of its management in the last five years.
