The Hermanos Saiz Association (AHS) and the Provincial Center of Fine Arts of Holguin have called for the 29th edition of Babel event, dedicated to visual arts in the World Festival of Artistic Youth, which will return in May to the Cuban City of the Parks.
As usual during the Romerías de Mayo, artists will be able to occupy gallery spaces, carry out performances, exhibition projects and public interventions to promote exchange with different contemporary visual expressions.
In 2024, Babel will focus on photography as a legitimate form of artistic expression, which using technique, creativity and sensitivity captures the surrounding reality in a spontaneous or premeditated way.
For this reason, the organizers have invited young artists who work with this technique to join the exhibitions to celebrate, in Holguin, from May 2 to 8, the 30th anniversary of the biggest celebration of young art in Cuba.
Proposals will be received until March 20 at the Holguin Arts Center, an institution located on the corner of Maceo and Marti streets, or at Holguin branch of the AHS, whose headquarters, the House of the Young Creator, is located in one of the corridors of La Marqueta Square.
