More than 5,800 assemblies are planned in Holguin as part of the political process of presentation, discussion and analysis of the Economy Plan and Budget 2024, initiated this month in Cuba.
Throughout January and February, more than 194,000 workers from all over the province should participate in this activity led by the Cuban Workers’ Confederation (CTC), said Carlos Suárez Batista, member of the Provincial Secretariat of that organization in charge of Economic Affairs.
Evaluating at the level of each workplace the production potentialities and also the vulnerabilities in order to outline strategies to support the plans is the supreme objective of the process, said the executive.
He also underlined that the discussion of the plan and the budget must be developed in a different and dynamic way, taking into account the difficult economic context of the country, which requires intelligent analysis from the base.
Topics such as the saving of resources, the generation and distribution of profits and the implementation of the measures established in the country to advance the socialist state enterprise with the available resources and tools should not be missing in the assemblies of affiliates and representatives.
The process should be accompanied by the different factors of the work centers, and its results should be systematically monitored, so that the economic plans can be implemented throughout the year. / By Lianne Fonseca.
