Ediciones La Luz will present its 2024 promotion campaign

Ediciones La Luz, publishing house of the Saíz Brothers Association (AHS) in Holguin, in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Culture and the Provincial Center for Books and Literature, will present this December 28 its campaign for the promotion of books and reading that will accompany its calendar during 2024.

“The advanced clarity” will be the slogan that will identify the publishing label in the year of its 27th anniversary, whose primary social object is the publication of literature written by young Cuban authors, in formats as diverse as the traditional book, but also audiobooks, audiovisual capsules and e-books.

Precisely, with the figurative wit of Alejandro Zaldívar, the team of Ediciones La Luz intends with this campaign to approach the different formats for inclusive reading.

It will also be presented “La joven Luz”, the first chapter of the documentary series “La claridad avanzada”, directed by Gerardo Perdomo and Luis Yuseff, with memories of the twenty-five years of the founding of the publishing house.

In this way, Ediciones La Luz wants to share with its collaborators and readers a message of optimism, whose sign -brothered with myth and poetry- is aimed above all at the defiant and dreamy spirit of the youngest Cuban creators who do their work in the technological era.

La Luz was born on May 7, 1997, when the then president of the AHS in the province, Alexis Triana, together with a group of trova singers and poets, went to the last waiting room of the Frank País International Airport to present the first title published by the label: “Bufón de Dios” (God’s Jester), by José Luis Serrano.
