In the 34th edition of the National Radio Festival, held in the city of Holguin, eight juries were in session, and 25 musical programs were evaluated.
In this category, works of rural music, specialized musical programs and interviews with a musical profile competed, according to Joaquín Quintero, director of Radio Enciclopedia, who told this web site.
Among the elements for the selection, it was important that the works were authentic, that they reflected the historical and cultural events, said Quintero.
He also acknowledged that the municipal radio stations had a great participation “with very well-produced works.

Although participation is important, “it should be a daily, constant effort throughout the year. The works presented are considered very few, since music is the most broadcasted in the country. This may be due to a lack of motivation after thirteen years without the event. The fairness at the time of the selection of the winning works is the main thing”, said Quintero.
In the National Radio Festival, which will begin on Monday 13 until Friday 17, more than 200 works were evaluated.
The awards gala will be held at Cabaret Nocturno this Thursday night, but before that, in the morning, the individual awards will be announced.
