In recognition of the results reached in the teaching-educational process, the “José Julián Martí Pérez” Educational Complex of Holguín, was the venue of the provincial ceremony for the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.

The celebration was attended by Ernesto Santiesteban Velázquez, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Holguín; Luis Felipe Batista Rodríguez, general director of Education, other political, government and educational authorities of the territory, students and guests.

During the ceremony, 13 educators were awarded the Rafael María de Mendive honorary distinction for their outstanding work in the education of the new generations.
The municipalities of Holguín, Moa, Sagua de Tánamo, Mayarí and Rafael Freyre, and the Center “La Isla de los Niños”, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary of creation, were also recognized for their contribution in carrying out recreational, sports and cultural activities during this Summer with Love.
In his keynote speech, Luis Felipe Batista Rodriguez said that this school year was preceded by long days of preparation of the directors and teachers, within the framework of the third educational improvement program, in order to take on the educational work with responsibility.
