Technology transfer for the benefit of nursing in Holguín

The Second Virtual Workshop on Technology Transfer (Transenferhlg2023), to be held from upcoming 12 thru 30 of September, will benefit nursing in Holguín province.

The Holguin Chapter of the Cuban Nursing Society, the Provincial Council of Scientific Health Societies and the Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical-Surgical Hospital have call for the on-line Transenferhlg2023.

This event responds to the Sustainable Health Agenda for the Americas 2018-2030, which highlights among its objectives the need to develop the capacity to generate, transfer and use evidence of scientific knowledge, to strengthen research, innovation and the use of technology.

Nurses and male nurses, students and health professionals in general who work in high complexity services throughout the country may participate.

The purpose of the Organizing Committee is to contribute to the transfer of a technology that will surely improve the quality of social actors’ performance, from a scientific, integrating and human perspective.

As main theme the Workshop will focus the analysis on the system of actions for the instrumentation of the risk management model in Nursing care for the benefit of patient safety in high complexity services.

Likewise, this event will be an ideal space to transfer knowledge, skills and procedures that favor the assistance and care of the sick.

In the context of the Workshop, there will be a posthumous tribute to the eminent Intensivist Nurse Rodolfo Gámez Cruz, who died in September 2022 in Maputo, Mozambique, while on a medical mission.
