Vital Teatro presented “Meseras” (waitresses), directed by Alejandro Palomino and acted by Mayelín Barquinero and Ari Fonseca, a play that tells the misfortunes of a couple of women, set in Havana in 1962, a time of change and in which there were taboos on issues such as homosexuality.

The Holguin Symphony Orchestra also came to the Villa Blanca to present a version of its Cinema show, a concert of movie soundtracks that on this occasion included iconic Cuban film themes.

The presentation of La Colmenita at the Jibá Cinema on August 3, the staging of the Holguin-based company Codanza and the concert by the young artist Jotabarrioz are also noteworthy, works that reinforce the film program projected in the different theaters, ratifying the atypical nature of this plural and multicultural festival.
