With the goal of strengthening management, legal certainty, and awareness of regulatory updates within the local private sector, the Business Forum (FOREMP). In collaboration with the commercial entity Desarrollo Ad Astra SURL and the University of Holguin (UHo) is announcing its upcoming cycle of business training.
Designed with a practical focus and direct advisory support, the sessions will take place on October 28th and 29th, 2026. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (local time), at the Snack Bar of the Hotel Santiago in this eastern city.
The FOREMP project has established itself in the province as a vital space for commercial exchange. The integration of the local business fabric, and the fostering of connections between academia, the state sector, and new economic actors.
Once again, this initiative emphasizes professional development as an essential prerequisite. For economic efficiency and contributing to regional development. Guided by this principle, the two-day program will cover topics highly relevant to the current Cuban economic landscape.
On the 28th, the focus will be on “Sales Tax and New Tax Regulations.” Pproviding conceptual and operational tools to ensure proper compliance with tax obligations.
On Thursday, October 29th, the discussion will center on “Renewable Energy and Its Tax Benefits.” A strategic issue that aligns with the country’s energy policy and explores sustainability alternatives for businesses.
The organization specified that this series of sessions is primarily aimed at private-sector business owners. Including MSMEs, non-agricultural cooperatives, and self-employed individuals. As well as local entrepreneurs interested in optimizing their administrative and fiscal processes.
Presentations and discussions will be led by specialists in tax policy. With direct support from the provincial branch of the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT) in Holguin. Ensuring that participants receive accurate answers to their questions.
