With the participation of 10 students, the Audiovisual Photography course concluded this Wednesday in Telecristal. The course provided professional training as camera operators and directors of photography for television.
The course was taught by Carlos Fernández, founder of the regional television station. And professor at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Holguin province.
Moreover the students received theoretical and practical training with the necessary content to achieve high-quality work. Not only in the television studio but also in news reports. And the production of dramas, cultural events, documentaries, musicals, and other projects, depending on their future career paths.
Upon completing the course, the students agreed on the mastery and dedication that photography demands. They emphasized that it is not simply a matter of pressing a button. It requires theoretical and practical knowledge and technical skills to capture moments, emotions, and details of reality.
Present at the certificate ceremony were Diuvichen Vila, General Director of the Holguin television system. Yoannys Romero, Head of the Human Resources and Training Department. Salvador Hechavarría, President of the Artistic Council. Carlos Fernández, Professor at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA). And Daimy Peña, Head of the News Department at TeleCristal.
Vila commented that the certificate, as accreditation for camera operators. It is the beginning of their careers at the channel. The real test will be continuous training to give their best at work. As well as continued professional development, according to artistic categorization. To achieve a first level in the specialty, and ultimately, admission to the Photography program at the ISA.
The executive also mentioned the importance of offering professional development courses at the station. So that new graduates can acquire the professional knowledge of more experienced generations who are still working at Telecristal.
