A new contingent of electrical workers from Holguin departed this Wednesday for Havana. To join the rehabilitation and improvement efforts on the Cuban capital’s power grid. At a time when the country needs unity and solidarity to confront the difficult situation facing the National Electric System (SEN).
According to a publication by the Holguin Electrical Company, the “Lidio Ramón Pérez” contingent is headed by its director, Rubert Reynaldo González, who leads a team of top-level professionals: electricians, protection technicians, substation specialists, testing and analysis specialists, and electrical service technicians.
This time, 32 electrical workers will join the two Holguin brigades already operating in the Cuban capital.
The Facebook post states that this comprehensive team is prepared to work on circuit balancing. Network upgrades, capacity increases, and transformer replacements, all with the goal of improving service quality.
It also highlights the commitment and experience of Holguin’s electrical workers. Who, whenever called upon by the country, at different times and under different circumstances, have always supported the efforts. To restore and improve service when it has been affected by weather events, power outages, or other breakdowns.
Recently, the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the Minister of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy, emphasized the tenacity and effort of the electrical workers “who don’t give up” and “face the power outages every day.”
