Handicraft Sales and Exhibitions Held in Holguin

The cultural project “El Reparador de Sueños” (The Dream Repairman) is promoting sales and exhibitions of decorative and utilitarian handicrafts. An initiative of the Ana Betancourt Academy of Manual Arts. In collaboration with the Manuel Dositeo Aguilera House of Culture in Holguin.

Yenicet Ricardo Ricardo, director of the institution, reported that the creative group is a benchmark in the promotion of handicrafts. With the dissemination of their work, comprised of all the teachers and some students in different specialties.

The Academy of Handicrafts belongs to the Provincial Enterprise of Local Various Industries and offers more than 30 courses. Including Christmas decorations, knitting, embroidery, patchwork, and sewing, among others. The academy maintains connections with children with disabilities, students, and inmates at correctional facilities.
