Alexander Fernández Guerrero, commercial manager of the MSME Chapymec. Told the Cuban News Agency that the initiative arose. Due to the limited availability of these materials in the country. He added that the technology used in the new project maintains high levels of efficiency and quality in the finished products.

Ramón Pifferrer Martínez, commercial director of Holmeca. He explained that the agreement diversifies the company’s profits. And increases industry revenue through the efficient use of facilities and qualified personnel.

Moreover the essential resources used are guaranteed by the Holguin Raw Materials Recovery Company. Which provides the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME). With baled paper and cardboard after it has been sorted and decontaminated, explained Yulio Feria Tamayo, the company’s deputy director.

Fernández Guerrero highlighted that each bale of raw material yields between two and three thousand egg cartons. Also which are thicker and more resistant due to the quality of the material used, with the aim of selling them to other entities.

The manufacturing process includes a machine capable of producing the raw material. With low electricity consumption, as well as a water recycling system. The main challenge currently lies in the drying process, which can be affected by ambient humidity.

Also the collaboration between MSMEs and state-owned enterprises consolidates a production model that provides employment, local development, and social benefits. And whose contract generates compensation for all parties involved.
