Holguin Province Hosts National Celebration of the 65th Anniversary of Children’s Circles

For their sustained work and the results achieved in early childhood education and care. Holguin province hosted the national celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Children’s Circles. A fundamental pillar in the education of Cuban children from their earliest years.

The celebration took place at the Martí Cinema and was attended by parents, educators, educational authorities. As the main protagonists, the children, who filled every moment of this grand celebration with joy.

During the event, presided over by Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee and first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province. The legacy of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Vilma Espín, the main inspirations behind this initiative, was commemorate. The Circles were conceived to guarantee the full integration of women into the economic, political, and social life of the country.

The event provided an opportunity to recognize outstanding educators, founders, assistant directors, directors, methodologists, support staff, and retirees. Also who have brought distinction to these institutions and won the national competition in various categories. The event also celebrated the dedication and responsibility shown in all their tasks. With recognition given to several municipalities, including Moa, Mayari, Sagua de Tanamo, Baguanos, Cacocum, Cueto, and Rafael Freyre.

In her keynote address, Luis Felisa Batista Rodríguez, Director General of Education for the province, highlighted the achievements that earned Holguin this national recognition. She emphasized the quality of the educational work, the training provided. The leading role of the educators, and the close collaboration with families as the cornerstones that distinguish Holguin’s Children’s Centers within the Cuban context.

With this moving event, Holguin reaffirmed its status as a leading region in early childhood care. Supported by the more than 8,000 children served in its 65 childcare centers and 24 preschools. And renewed its commitment to ensuring that every Cuban child grows up surrounded by love, care, and opportunities for a fulfilling future.
