In recognition of the results achieved during 2025, Holguin will host the national celebration of the 21st anniversary of the José Martí Art Instructors Brigade on October 20th.
This was highlighted by Julia Bárbara Suárez Ramírez, president of the Brigade in the región. Who stated that a broad and diverse day of cultural and community activities will be held in celebration of this significant event.
As part of the celebration program, the official launch of the “50th Anniversary Cultural Guerrilla” will take place. A movement that aims to bring impactful artistic expressions to plazas, parks, and neighborhoods. Likewise, the sociocultural initiative “With My Brigade in Your Community” will be rolled out. With actions and projects aimed at strengthening community outreach and local cultural development from the ground up.
According to the leader of the cultural movement in the region, special interventions will take place in schools where there are currently no art instructors. Moreover with the goal of sowing the seed of artistic appreciation in these centers.
The awards ceremony for the “I Create My Puppet House” contest will also be held. An initiative that promotes craft creation and the visual arts among young people.
Futhermore Suárez called on the population to join en masse in these celebrations. Which seek to commemorate more than two decades of continuous work in fostering values through art.
This anniversary is an opportunity to reaffirm the brigade’s social commitment, strengthen ties with communities. Set new goals for cultural development, and highlight the work of these doctors of the soul, who bring art and culture to the entire country.
