VI Municipal Conference of the ACRC is held in Cacocum

Commemorating one more anniversary of the birth of Antonio Maceo Grajales and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna and the 71st anniversary of the assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, is one of the fundamental premises to develop the VI Municipal Conference of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC) in Cacocum, with the presence of Colonel of the Reserve Rafael Carballosa Niego, president of the Provincial Directorate of this organization.

During the event, the balance of the main achievements obtained in the period 2019-2023 was analyzed, which refers to the progress achieved in most of the indicators whose results were positive, in addition, the deficiencies and problems that must be faced to continue strengthening the internal functioning, as a purpose, for the fulfillment of its main tasks are identified.

The 16 work objectives approved in the V Conference of the association were analyzed, the same covers the missions that it must face, this is translated into 63 tasks of which 57 were fulfilled and six were unfulfilled due to difficulties with transportation; these tasks were referred to visits to the popular councils to participate in the quarterly meetings.

In the report, they also state that the agreements reached with the General Directorate of Public Health, the Directorate of Housing and the Directorate of Labor and Social Security and the tasks in the joint work plans with the organizations and institutions, have served as valuable support for the attention to the associates and to give solution to a group of needs, but it is still insufficient.

In the same way they express that the situation for which it crosses an appreciable quantity of associates especially those who are included in the system of attention, joined to objective factors that influence the economic situation and the problems of the housing that is aggravated every year, does that the aspects of material nature are latent in the approaches of many of them.

On the other hand, they emphasize that they have managed to fulfill the objectives for which they were created: the unconditional defense of the Revolution, where the three generations of combatants reinforce the work of military and internationalist patriotic education, which occupies a space in the work that under the direction of the party is strengthened and encourages the brave spirit of the Cacocum people, faithful to their best traditions of the social system in the province of Holguin.
