An anti-imperialist rally was held at a military unit in the Holguin Military Region to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR). The event included the participation of the head of the Eastern Army, Major General Eugenio Armando Rabilero Aguilera. Among other officers and young combatants.
During the event, Yaumara Reyes Pérez, a UJC leader at the unit, emphasized the young people’s commitment. To maintaining the gains achieved amidst a complex historical context and reaffirmed their loyalty to revolutionary principles and the legacy of Fidel Castro.
As part of the ceremony, awards, decorations, and membership cards were presented to new members. As well as the “100% Fidelista Youth” and “Fidel Centenary” distinctions to outstanding groups and young people from the business sector and regular units. Awarded by the Eastern Army’s youth movement.
The event included cultural segments, among them artistic performances and a conga line. In addition to a group photo that commemorated the celebration.
Sports and recreational activities were also held. With soccer tournaments, board games, and film screenings. Fostering interaction among the young military personnel.
