University and Private Sector Join Forces to Boost Local Development in Frank País

The Social Observatory of the University of Holguin and the small private sector company Céfiros Surl have forged a strategic alliance. To implement projects with economic and social impact in several communities. Within the Frank País municipality, according to sources connected to the agreement.

During a recent working meeting, both parties identified opportunities for cooperation and established key areas of collaboration. With the goal of transforming scientific knowledge generated in academia into practical solutions applicable to the region. Who is Céfiros Surl?

Céfiros Surl, a non-state sector entity based in Holguin, has been previously selected for UNDP projects to access climate finance. It has experience installing wind turbines for renewable energy. Supporting agricultural production in the region, positioning it as a key partner in sustainable initiatives.

For its part, the Social Observatory of the University of Holguin, recognized for its work connecting academia and society. It has signed agreements with other non-state actors and develops training and applied research programs. Its participation guarantees the scientific and methodological support of the projects.

The integration between the university, local institutions, and the private business sector seeks to design sustainable strategies. That generate effective responses to the municipality’s current challenges.
