Minint Recognized in Holguin for Distinguished Service on 65th Anniversary

Some organizations in Holguin recognized the distinguished service of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint). Their dedication in the current circumstances facing the country, on the occasion of the institution’s 65th anniversary.

Moreover during the political-cultural gala, the 65th Anniversary Award was presented to various departments and specialties. And the “Praise for Virtue” award was given to a group of officers for their achievements in fulfilling their duty to preserve internal order and state security.

Colonel Yosbel Marañón, head of the Minint in the province, received the tribute from the Cuban Workers’ Federation, the Association of Combatants of the Revolution, the Eastern Army, the provincial government and party. As well as other businesses, for the performance of its members over more than six decades of uninterrupted service to the people.

Furthermore at the ceremony, several officers were promoted and decorated with awards for Distinguished Service to the Ministry of the Interior (Minint). For 10, 15, and 20 years of service and loyalty to the people amidst adverse circumstances.

Also attendees included Major General Eugenio Armando Rabilero, head of the Eastern Army. Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and First Secretary in the province. Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, Governor of Holguin. With other government, political, and military authorities from the region.

The Ministry of the Interior was established on June 6th, 1961. Also by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. With the objective of preserving state security, internal order, and public tranquility.
