Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez stated this Tuesday that the archipelago has the full right to trade fuel. Without obstacles or challenges that violate the principles of free international trade.
He also declared that any country has the right to export fuel to Cuba. To develop trade relations without interference from a foreign power.
“The energy embargo imposed by the United States government against our country internationalizes the blockade. It demonstrates its extraterritorial nature; it shows that it is not a bilateral issue. And it intimidates, pressures, and extorts those who trade sovereignly with Cuba,” he wrote on social media.
“Also the latest contradictory statements from the U.S. government on this matter are intended to create confusion. In order to continue preventing the entry of fuel into Cuban territory,” Rodríguez concluded.
