Holguin hosts national activities for the 65th anniversary of the Children’s Circles

In recognition of the province’s outstanding record in early childhood education and the work of its educators. Holguin will host the national activities for the 65th anniversary of the creation of the Children’s Circles. Coinciding with the centennial of the birth of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz. The driving force behind these important educational centers.

This was announced by Yaima Cruz de la Cruz, provincial head of this subsystem at the Provincial Directorate of Education. Also who emphasized that the selection is based on favorable indicators. That solidify the province’s position as a leader in the care and education of new generations.

Among the main achievements that support this status is the resolution of all pending requests from working mothers. Guaranteeing their return to work without affecting the care of their children. In addition, the creation of childcare centers in different sectors has expanded educational coverage. And brought services closer to previously disadvantaged communities.

Along the same lines, the development of their own teaching materials and the implementation of research projects led by the educators themselves stand out. Among these is one project, directed by the Ministry of Education. Focused on the comprehensive study of Fidel Castro’s life and work at an early age.

Cruz de la Cruz explained that this endeavor also includes work on cultural decolonization. Involving children and educators in exploring the Commander’s thought to strengthen identity and values from a young age.

The sustained work on these fronts has allowed the province to currently serve an enrollment of 8,553 children. Through a network of 65 childcare centers and 24 childcare centers. Supported by qualified staff committed to their holistic development.

Also this effort takes on an even greater dimension when considering the historical context in which these institutions emerged. Which today remain an essential pillar of the Cuban educational system. Constituting the first link in the formation of new generations.
