Tributees Held for the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and the Immigration and Foreigners Directorate in Holguin

The well-deserved tribute to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and the men and women of the Directorate of Identification, Immigration and Foreigners. Commemorating their 67th anniversaries on January 5th and 9th respectively. Took place this Friday in Holguin at an event attended by the highest political and government authorities in the province.

The recognition ceremony served as an opportunity to express solidarity with the sister nation of Venezuela. Also to pay heartfelt tribute to the fallen comrades in the line of duty during the military aggression against that nation on January 3rd.

During the event, a total of 35 officers from various directorates of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) received the Distinguished Service Award for their outstanding work.

A Special 67th Anniversary Recognition was also awarded to a total of 17 National Revolutionary Police (PNR) stations. Also three outstanding special units of the Immigration and Foreign Affairs Department in the province.

For their effort and commitment to safeguarding the achievements of the Cuban Revolution and preserving national security. Men and women of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint) in Holguin were recognized. By the Party and the Government, as well as by local organizations. Such as the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Union of Young Communists. The Cuban Workers’ Federation, the Federation of Cuban Women, and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution.

Moreover the ceremony was attended by Joel Queipo Ruíz, First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Holguin. Manuel Hernández Aguilera, Governor of the province. Colonel Yosbel Marañón González, head of the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior; and other leaders of political and mass organizations.

Queipo Ruiz stated that in these significant times for the nation and the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Amidst the war trumpets sounded by the arrogant empire. We must be more united than ever, with multiplied solidarity. He reiterated his congratulations to the valiant combatants of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and the Immigration and Foreign Affairs Directorate.
