Esteban Lazo toured entities in the province of Holguin

Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba (Parliament), toured sites of socioeconomic interest in Holguin province in order to supervise the actions being carried out in terms of social self-consumption and energy development.

The tour began at the Providencia photovoltaic solar park, located in this demarcation -very close to Holguin’s Frank Pais International Airport-. Which is expected to synchronize to the National Electro-energy System on July 19th with a contribution of 21.8 MW. According to Enrique Raez Ricardo, director of productions of the Construction Company No. 2.

There, he was interested in the fulfillment of the execution schedule of the work. The drainage and lighting system, as well as the attention to the workers.

He then visited the KTP Cane Combine Factory, which today also has the objective of reconstructing railway sheds in order to optimize the transportation of cargo and passengers.

The tour included a visit to the rural area El Lindero of the El Purial popular council, where the also president of the Council of State exchanged with the family doctor and was interested in the quality of this much-needed service in the community, and stressed the importance of community transformation with participation and popular control.

The parliamentary leader also exchanged with students from the Vitaliano Herrera Pérez rural school.

During the event Lazo Hernández was accompanied by Homero Acosta, secretary of the Cuban Parliament. Joel Queipo Ruíz, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Holguin, and Manuel Hernández Aguilera, governor of the territory.
