The state-owned Holguin state-owned MSME Tauba Holmotor participates in the vocational training of young students of Technical and Vocational Education and Higher Education as part of the establishment of links between the business and teaching sectors.
In order to fulfill the responsibility of the entities in the preparation of the qualified work force that the country needs, the industry has signed five agreements with educational institutions in the territory, Rosell Martínez Cabrera, director of Human Capital of the company, explained exclusively to ACN.
Among them are the University of Holguín and the Manuel Isla Pérez Polytechnic in the municipality of Cacocum, with which it works to strengthen the knowledge of the specialties of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technician, related to the manufacture of engines, Tauba’s main corporate purpose, he said.
In this way, the institution functions as an annex classroom by lending its facilities, equipment and specialists for the training of the students, who carry out their internship period coordinated through the educational programs oriented by the academy, he pointed out.
This work not only makes it possible to reconcile and consolidate the two learning modalities, theoretical and practical, but also motivates the students to be able to carry out tasks related to their future employment, helps the factory to attract talent after their graduation and encourages the materialization of fresh and innovative ideas capable of increasing its services, he enumerated.
Martínez Cabrera added that due to a joint project with the provincial university, the entity was able to create and incorporate to its catalog of services the assembly of engines for tricycles and electric cars to be produced on the island, a component already approved that will benefit passenger transportation in urban areas.
The new form of management Tauba Holmotor S.U.R.L. has a wide line of productions based on the use of science, the use of recycled raw materials and the use of existing capacities, which respond to the current demands of the population and promote local and national economic development.
