The importance of the digitalization of transactions for the banking operations of the Holguin branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC fot its Spanish acronym) was one of the most relevant topics discussed at the fourth Forum of Science and Technology developed by the institution.
During the event, engineer Iván Valentín spoke about the creation of a database to strengthen the control of electronic commerce and account statements. He pointed out on Thursday that the purpose of the innovation is to digitally prepare cash books to speed up the accounting work.
He also said that in this way there is greater reliability and security during all processes and can be implemented in all the country’s subsidiaries, state institutions and self-employed workers.
On the other hand, Iliuva Leyva López, director of the ARCAI artistic creation group, presented the project and realization of a four-arm screen-printing octopus with micro-registers, which has a great technical impact due to its mechanical design, since it allows printing in four-color printing with precision and speed, replacing imports of this large and costly equipment.
The meeting also dealt with topics including utilitarian and art works from recycled materials, the restoration of the structure and furniture of the ward of the Vladimir Ilyich Lenin General Hospital, and the production of handmade soaps using local raw materials.
The FCBC annually convenes its workers, specialists, managers, artists and creators to the science and technology forum, which aims to boost the implementation of tasks related to development and innovation.
