Holguín Etecsa closed 2023 with favorable results

With the increase in digital services through the various payment gateways and their impact on the population, Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba (Etecsa) in Holguín ended 2023 with favorable results and new projections for 2024.

Among the most important achievements of the Holguín territorial division, it is worth mentioning that more than 92 percent of the monetary circulation is digital, informed Darquiris Sánchez Castro, head of the entity’s commercial department.

He also pointed out that around 60 percent of residential customers paid their benefits through the Transfermóvil and EnZona platforms.

In addition, he commented that more than 400 new basic telephony services were installed and established connectivity in more than 120 places, depending n the geographic situation of each one of them and the signals of the radio bases.

Vulnerabilities in communications were reduced and a fiber optic cable was laid to the municipality of Urbano Noris to improve connections, in addition to the opening of a commercial office in the territory of Frank País with two executives, he stressed.

Sánchez Castro reported that more than 11,700 mobile lines were sold and more than 30 business services were installed, as well as the maintenance of telephone assistance indicators with a compliance rate of more than 97 percent.

For 2024, Etecsa in Holguín plans to strengthen communications services in a comprehensive manner, both in customer access and in transmission systems.

A new commercial center will also be completed to serve the business sector in the province and the adaptation of the network of offices in the different territories will continue for the benefit of the population.
