With just hours to go before the celebration of the national event for Cuban Builders’ Day, Leticia La Rosa Nodarse, top union leader of the branch in the province of Holguín, reiterated the commitment of the workers in the transformation of society with the contribution of necessary and vital civil works.
She expressed that they arrive at this celebration this December 5th with the satisfaction of being the territory with the largest number of National Vanguards communities in the Construction Union.
La Rosa Nodarse also mentioned that it constitutes a well-deserved recognition to the construction of Levisa dam, in the municipality of Mayarí, the right place for the commemoration of this date because it is a distinguished work of the country’s hydraulic will, and a fundamental link in the East-Eest Water transfer.

Levisa dam is being built by the Engineering Works Construction Company No. 16 (Castor), which has also been in charge of the construction of Mayarí Dam, the only one of its kind in Cuba, and dozens of kilometers of canals, tunnels, and siphons for the transfer of water, with a significant impact on agricultural and livestock programs.
The union leader highlighted the dedication and commitment of the builders of Holguin who, in the midst of complex circumstances, have not ceased to build for the benefit of local development.
The day for the Builder’s Day has conceived multiple activities in all the workers’ collectives of the country.
