December begins with the celebration of the Day of Presenters in Cuba, a profession that accompanies, inspires, distinguishes and gives prestige to Gilberto García Acosta, with more than three decades of professional experience in Radio System in Holguín and one of the most popular voices of CMKO Radio Angulo.
As soon as he had the opportunity, very young, he began to collaborate voluntarily in the radio, attracted by its range of sounds and messages; however, his first work experience was in the teaching profession; as a teacher he arrived one fine day in the municipality of Moa and his life changed after a visit to the community radio station of that mining town because there he began his training as a radio broadcaster.
He spent 16 years at La Voz del Níquel where he learned to use the word to communicate with precision and demonstrated his versatility as a radio producer.
At that community radio station, Proyecto 90 was born, a radio program that made his name known and revolutionized the format of youth programs with surprising listener interaction, high levels of audience and social impact.
Thus began his successful and persistent radio career. In 2006 he arrived at CMKO, the parent plant of the Holguin radio system, where he is one of the most recognized voices. In 2020 he was the most popular announcer of Radio Angulo and currently, in addition to being head of programming of the station, a great responsibility that he assumes with professionalism and total dedication, he is a scriptwriter, announcer and program director.
In addition to his work in radio, Gilberto García Acosta has carried out other significant tasks in the cultural field of Holguín, such as assuming the direction of the Hermanos Saíz Association in the province or creating the RECREARTE company, which belongs to the TURARTE Entertainment Agency and the Faustino Oramas Music and Entertainment Marketing Company. A project that has also been closely linked to the radio, a means of communication to which he has devoted more than 30 years of his life.
His untiring intellectual career is the result of his creative and self-improvement capacity.
